Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta dropped in on the Academy Qatar to the delight of the budding footballers. It was in Lusail, one of the four Paris Saint-Germain Academy Qatar sites, north of Doha, that Thiago Motta decided to surprise the young players. Each week, more than 300 youngsters enjoy the state of the art facilities that will be used as training pitches for the next FIFA World Cup. Coordinated by the ‘Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy’ ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the ‘Generation Amazing’ initiative uses the power of football to carry out cultural and educational programmes for youngsters across the Gulf, Middle East and Asia. From 15 to 19 December, the ‘Generation Amazing Festival 2019’ has brought together 150 youngsters aged between 16 and 24 from 12 different countries in Doha.
